Cis Bierinckx, geboren in Lier, 3 december 1955, werkte, na een opleiding aan het Technisch Handelsinstituut in Herentals, als notarisklerk, bediende en opvoeder. Hij stelde door de jaren heen filmprogramma’s samen voor Studio Skoop in Gent. Bierinckx richtte in 1994 het documentair filmfestival VIEWPOINT in Gent mee op en vult sinds 2001 voor het Internationaal Filmfestival van Vlaanderen te Gent het programma A LOOK APART in. Cis organiseerde in 2004 de lezing en filmcyclus “LOS ANGELES VICE VERSA in het Film-Plateau Gent. Hij is adviseur voor het Internationaal Film Festival Rotterdam en lanceerde recent het 1e Documentair Filmplatform ZONE in Gent, Antwerpen en Kortrijk.

He is a consultant for the International Film Festival Rotterdam and recently launched the 1st movie historical documentaries platform zone in Antwerp and Ghent, Kortrijk.
